Ray Ray Star’s latest single “Feelin’” is out now! With its big rock sound, this song is a reflection on addiction, recovery and the struggle to reconnect with genuine emotions after years of living in survival mode.

Where his previous release “One Step Away” explored the edge between relapse and recovery, “Feelin’” captures what comes next. And it’s a big track with big energy. From its opening riff, the guitars roar and the rhythm section drives with a steady force.

Written and composed entirely by Ray Ray, “Feelin’” is a reflection of both power and vulnerability. He plays all the guitars on the track.

The band he has assembled for this one adds some serious weight – Nick Weber of Pigeon Park, who has shared stages with Aerosmith, Slash, Collective Soul and Offspring, takes on vocals, Ricardo Viana of The Veer Union (Rockstar Records/Universal) on drums and Ryan Jones of The Thick of It locks in a driving bassline.

At its heart, “Feelin’” is about waking up to yourself after being lost for too long and the shock of feeling pain, joy, hope and fear all at once.

Ray Ray states:

“My single Feelin’ is about the very last time I used and the thoughts that were going through my mind at that time. There was so much trauma and I was doing everything in my power to not feel anything but along the way I lost the ability to feel anything. I was desperate for a feeling of any sort. Addiction took everything from me and turned me into a shadow of my formal self.

Desperate to quit and an addiction that wouldn’t let me. The absolute insanity of it all. Bringing me to places I never thought I would ever go. Hanging with people I hated being around. Doing things I never thought I would. Overdoses, heart failure, etc. I wanted to escape life with drugs but then drugs wouldn’t let me go.

Its a miracle I am still here to tell the story and that is why I volunteer work with people that want the help. I want to inspire others that not only is there a way out but, when clean, you can achieve anything! That is my motivation. To sore as high as I can and inspire others to do the same. We are all someone’s brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, etc.”
